New services in Kitchener for victims of domestic violence
Posted March 14, 2011 - Legal Aid Ontario has partnered with Mosaic Counselling and Family Services in Kitchener to help victims of domestic violence. The collaboration is part of LAO's strategy to increase client access points and provide timely and effective service to low-income Ontarians.

Facing facts about poverty
Posted March 10, 2011 - A survey commissioned by the Salvation Army shows that half or nearly half of Canadians believe that if people really want to work, they can always find a job; that a family of four can "get by" on $10,000 to $30,000 a year; and that people who live in poverty in Canada "still have it pretty good."
