Toronto School Board fined for failure to accommodate jobseeker
Posted March 1, 2011 - The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario has ordered the Toronto District School Board to pay $7,500 to a jobseeker who asked the TDSB, and was refused, accommodation for his disability when writing a job application test.

Canadian courts overriding immigration officials on deportation of fearful women
Posted February 28, 2011 - Five women seeking to remain in Canada because of well-founded fears for their safety in their home countries have had their applications rejected by the Immigration and Refugee Board or officers of Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Now, in the past month, the Federal Court has overturned all five decisions and ordered new hearings.
